John and his wife Sue and their four daughters currently reside is Woodridge, where John was previously a Village Trustee.
John Curran graduated from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1998 and began working as an Assistant State's Attorney, prosecuting misdemeanor and felony criminal offenses. John has worked professionally as an Assistant State's Attorney for the past 16 years.
Prior to attending law school, John graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana in 1995. He played Offensive Tackle on the University of Illinois Football Team from 1991-1994, culminating in a victory in the 1994 Liberty Bowl.
John was first elected to public office in 2005 as a Village Trustee in Woodridge. He served one-term as a Village Trustee (2005-2008) and additionally represented Woodridge as a member of the DuPage Mayors & Managers Conference Transportation Policy Committee.
John Curran is also an elected Republican Precinct Committeeman with the Lisle Township Republican Organization and is a past member of the DuPage County Young Republicans.
